InQfive’s New Afro House Banger ‘Blue Crystals’ Is Our Hot Pick For This Week
Right! So, in the past three week we spent a few extra hours (yes, a little/far more than usual) trying to surf out some of the most underrated – if not undervalued – music productions from the African continent.
Admittedly, we did manage to find a handful (if not an array) of lesser-known yet very promising young record producers who are currently based in the far-east section of the motherland.
But however, there is this one particular dance music composer whose music has been on repeat for past few days now.
This young brother (in question) is a very humble, yet overly talented South African Boksburg-based record producer, remixer and deejay named Tshepang Mpinga, otherwise more commonly known to his fellow cohorts as InQfive.
Yes, that is indeed his alias, and naturally – as odd as this may sound – his music production skills are actually quite impressive and, if you don’t mind me saying, his compositions are (on some levels) just as unique and well thought out as the abovementioned stage name.
Anyways, to cut a very long story short: this week‟s hot pick is an afro house club banger entitled “Blue Crystals”. The song – roughly about seven in length – is the young producer’s latest offering and it‟s currently for pre-order on Traxsource as an exclusive.
That being said, you can quickly checkout the brief discussion that we had with him about it below, and/or scroll even further down to listen to sneaky preview of the song:
How would you describe this song to an unfamiliar ear?
I would say that ‘Blue Crystals’ is a perfect song for Dance floors. It consists of many different afro tech elements, as well as electronic sounds that all form part of what we are now calling “the new age sound”.
What is the inspiration behind the record?
Honestly, it is something that randomly happened while I was in the studio. I just had this idea in my head and worked it out until ended up with something good and alive.

How do you hope the listening public will receive the production?
I believe that ‘Blue Crystals’ is very different from what other record producers have been releasing at the moment.
So, yeah – I hope the listening public will continue to appreciate the sounds that I have been giving them.
