Pick of The Week: Aidin Caye Featuring Ziyon – Reflections

Look – I’m going to be very blunt here: If had you not been living under a rock – for the past 6years or so – you should already be familiar with the name LiquiDeep. LiquiDeep is, in fact, a South African house music duo comprised of Ryzor (the music Producer and DJ) as well as Ziyon (the singer / songwriter and producer). Collectively, the pair has enjoyed some great success in the music and entertainment industry, with a long list of interesting hits, as well as notable music awards under their belts. Now, with all that in mind, I’d like you to direct all your attention away from the super group and focus only on one man from this collective; Ziyon.
Ziyon is (among other things) an incredibly talented vocalist who has been featured on a handful of singles by South African music producers, as well as recording artists alike. However, none of these tracks have ever hit the spot quite like this one collaboration with Aidin Caye.
Aidin Caye is a South African music producer, DJ and songwriter from Johannesburg, Gauteng. He used to go by the stage name ‘DJ Adie’ – which he then briefly changed to That Adie – right before settling for the above mentioned pseudonym, AC. He was an A&R and Label Manager at the oh-so popular music label Soul Candi – which he then left in the year 2015 to officially join Universal Music South Africa as an A&R Consultant and Dance Label Manager. He then, shortly thereafter, spoke at the 2015 Music Exchange Conference, alongside Nic Burger, Bryan Cox, Emily Bruce, Brandon Bakshi, Mr Mallum, and a few other notable music industry executives at Market Hall in Cape Town (The Mother City).
Since he signed with UMGSA, AC has been making a good name for himself on the local entertainment circuit. His fresh take on the deeper side of house is just incredible, and this debut single is more than just a good example of that – I mean, Reflections is, on so many levels, A F.cking Decent Masterpiece – But, don’t just take my word for it though – click on the play button below and find out for yourself:
