In this second installment of the interview series, we had a quick chat with afro house record producer, Zetigo SA to ask him a few questions about why he became a record producer, his undying love for the house music genre and life in the Vaal Region.
Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in the industry?
My name is Mzwakhe Kubheka aka ZetigoSA, I was born in the dusty streets of Bophelong 26 years ago. I started doing music at the age of 16.
From your perspective, what makes your style unique?
My style is unique because I take time doing it, I put all the energy I have to.

What is the hardest thing about being a deejay in the Vaal Region?
You hardly get bookings, many event organizers and resident deejays tend to book their friends not talent.

What is the best advice you have ever received for overcoming challenges?
Great things take time, be patient.
What are the two most valuable lessons you’ve learned about the DJ profession?
Being honest and real is the most effective way to communicate. Know your audience and tailor your content appropriately.
Name one female DJ that you think we should know about and the reason why.
DJ Thodee is one of the best females I know, she never disappoints with her track selection.
What is your ultimate goal for the future?
My ultimate goal is to be someone better in life.
