Black Motion – Fortune Teller
(KalawaJazme Dance / Universal Music SA)
KalawaJazme’s Black Motion has recently released their long-awaited second studio album, titled ‘Fortune Teller’ – and yeesh, trust me when I say, this right here is a beautify offering. Now, you should know by now that my love for this thing called house knows no boundaries – I mean, from afro-centric soul, to minimal tech and Jackin’ house, even that Modern Disco vibe. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I showcased this album. Though, in my opinion, this offering could’ve really done with some more music variety – but still, that doesn’t mean it gets irritatingly monotonous. If anything, it means that, like me, you’ll how consistent these boys are (and that’s a good thing?! Or, so I have been told). Anyways, believe me when I say that, this right here, packs a really good punch (a punch so great, in fact, they reached gold status in cd sales – kudos for that milestone, by the way (so proud of BM). Grab a copy. You won’t regret it, because it’s definitely worth checking out. Music play listed on the show :
